Ukraine Russia War

Britain will not go to war with Russia in Ukraine

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has made it clear that British troops will not be stationed in Ukraine and will remain “firmly within the borders of NATO members”, writes Sky News .

During a press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, he stressed that this was “the right thing to do” and noted that any measures taken recently are “nothing more than defensive measures.”

“The international community must strengthen our common resilience and ensure that Vladimir Putin and Russia are isolated. NATO has always stood for peace and stability,” Johnson said.

“NATO is a defense alliance: for any NATO member to intervene in a conflict with Russia is a huge step that no member country considers. This is not on the agenda,” he said.

He also pointed out that Britain does not support British volunteers going to fight in Ukraine.

Regarding the suspension of Russia’s membership in the UN Security Council, he said that this is a difficult task, given the specifics of this organization.

“Within the UN structures, it is really difficult to make any changes without a vote. Russia has veto power in the Security Council. We cannot change the rules without Russia’s consent,” Johnson said.
